The Corrections Division, with the assistance of the Road Patrol Division, coordinates the movement of prisoners to and from the Niagara County Jail. The movements consist of doctor and hospital appointments, court appearances to all the town and county courts, moving prisoners to state facilities throughout New York State and bringing prisoners into the Niagara County Jail from other facilities. There were approximately 3,000 prisoner transports in 1996.
The Court Security Division maintains the security of the courts in Niagara County which include County and Family Courts in Lockport, Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda, NY, and the State Supreme Courts in Niagara Calls and Lockport, NY.
The Building Security Division maintains security at the Social Service buildings in Niagara Falls and Lockport.
