The Niagara County Sheriff's Department Warrant Division is responsible for the processing of all "Court Ordered Warrants of Arrest". Division personnel open criminal investigations ultimately leading to the apprehension of those individuals wanted for the commission of local, state and federal crimes. Fugitives are located and arrested throughout the United States and Canada and transported back to Niagara County for prosecution. The Warrant Division works in cooperation with local, state, federal, and international law enforcement in an effort to locate, arrest and detain fugitives wanted for the commission of crimes in other jurisdictions.
Division personnel maintain NIAGARA COUNTY'S MOST WANTED on the Niagara County Sheriff's Department Web Page. In addition, Fugitive Alerts have been periodically published in local newspapers under the headings: "Niagara's Most Wanted" in the Niagara Gazette, "Wanted" in the Lockport Union Sun & Journal, and "TNT All Points Bulletin" in the Tonawanda News.
